If god told you to torture and kill your child, would you?
If you’re a Fundamentalist Christian, you probably would.
CNN’s Gary Tuchman reported Monday on a fundamentalist Christian couple who killed their 7-year-old adopted daughter while practicing a violent form of discipline.
They reportedly beat their nine children regularly because they thought God wanted them to. Both parents were jailed after pleading guilty to the crime and the surviving children are now in foster homes.
This, you may think, is an isolated occurrence. Well, certainly it’s not the norm (thank gawd!) but this is not isolated at all. It’s just another of many atrocities committed in the name of god. This is not a Christian way to educate your children – this is torture and murder!
I just hope these irrational idiots who pose as parents, get the maximun punishment for their crime.

We will be lucky if they get more than a couple of years. As recent rulings have shown, when it comes to committing these times of crimes against children due to your stupid beliefs then you get off light.

These people deserve our sympathy. They are mentally ill due to the brainwashing of their religion. While I agree they are certainly not safe to be in society, to punish them rather than try to help them is to act with the same ignorance as the religious fools that follow this particular extreme for, of worship.
Evil is a word used to eliminate circumstance and influence from actions. It is a word used to grossly oversimplify things that are difficult to explain. There is another word like that: God.
These people are not evil, they are sick.

It is a horrible thing and they deserve life in prison but that blaming god is unfair since they were delusional. If there was no religion it would be some other character.
