We all know, (or most of us know), the No true Scotsman logical fallacy. We get this argument in debate quite often; I find it really funny when Christians wiggle this trite at atheists as if it were something worth considering.
Pshaw.
This is when I come up with these analogies that always end up as tweets.
Saying ex-christians never really were true christians, is like saying recovering alcoholics never were really drunk. #atheism #atheist—

That is clever, though I think it only applies to Calvinists or Christians in other strongly reformed traditions.
Still, clever for what it’s worth.
As far as I know there is only one way to tell if someone is a Christian. When they claim to be one then they are one.
I like the word “Recovering”
